Osi is a Mexico- Canadian Artist, Architect, and Children's Minister that initiated her love for Art at an early age.
Though she’s been drawing and painting since the age of 4, Osi started to develop her painting skills during her Junior High years. After encountering her first Art rejection, when her Art teacher recommended her to choose another option as "she would not be an artist", she was challenged and motivated. Osi determined to study and practice under the mentorship of other artists and teachers in Puebla, Mexico.
While in University, she started to develop her bold style. Art History, lessons, practice, experimentation with different Art media, and the inspiration she draws from masterpieces of Mexican Artists & other International geniuses have helped her to continually grow. She is now part of the Federation of Canadian Artists and continues to grow under the mentorship of Master painters.
Her Artwork is a combination of experiences, spirituality, love for life, and values expressed in the use of different media with an impressionist flair. The use of vibrant colours and texture in her paintings connects her to her roots in Mexico. Living in Canada and building a life with her family have inspired her to continue painting and creating in whatever way she can; she loves to inspire others to live a fulfilled and purposeful life. From this, the series “Life in Central Alberta” and "Alberta Skies" was born, they've allowed her to venture into the different aspects that have made her life rich and vibrant. “The work of our hands” and "Alberta sunrises" have also emerged from this inspiration.
You can find her work at the different seasonal Shows in Alberta and British Columbia. Some of her work has found its home in Canada and internationally by Private collectors.
“Life is a magnificent canvas of endless opportunities in which we can paint the masterpiece of our dreams, if we're totally committed & do not give up. Remember to look up, you are not alone!"- Osi
